Well, well, well, look at this thing here, this “audemars piguet info fran 20 216.” Sounds fancy, don’t it? Like something for rich folks. I ain’t rich, that’s for sure, but I can tell ya what I see.
Now, from what I gather, this “audemars piguet” is a watch, a real pricey one at that. Seen somethin’ about a “Royal Oak” too. Sounds like somethin’ from a castle, eh? Probably got gold and diamonds and all sorts of shiny stuff on it. But you know what? All that fancy stuff don’t tell you the time any better than my old clock on the wall.
They got these numbers, “20 216.” Maybe that’s the year it was made? Or maybe it’s some special code, like them spies use in the movies. Who knows? All I know is, if it costs as much as they say, it better do more than just tell time. Maybe it makes you breakfast in bed or something!
- Heard they got somethin’ called a “chronograph.” Sounds complicated. I reckon it’s like a stopwatch, for timin’ things. Like how long it takes to boil an egg, or how fast you can run to the mailbox. But honestly, who needs all that fancy stuff? I can count in my head just fine.
- They talk about “stainless steel” too. That’s just metal, ain’t it? Like the spoons in my drawer. They say it don’t rust, but I ain’t never seen my spoons rust neither. Guess it’s supposed to be strong, but I reckon my old cast iron skillet is stronger.
This “dial” thing, that’s the face of the watch, right? Where you see the numbers. They say it’s “khaki green” on some of them. Sounds like army colors. Maybe it’s for soldiers? Or maybe it’s just a fancy way of sayin’ it’s green. Either way, it ain’t gonna change the time, is it?
They keep mentionin’ these papers and boxes. Like it’s a big deal if you got the original box. Well, I keep my things in boxes too, but nobody cares about that. I guess if you’re spendin’ a fortune on a watch, you want to make sure it ain’t fake. But still, it’s just a box, ain’t it?
Now, this “extra thin” thing. That means it’s skinny, right? Like a pancake. I don’t see the point of a skinny watch. You want somethin’ sturdy, somethin’ that’ll last. Somethin’ you can bang around a bit and it won’t break. But these fancy folks, they like things skinny, I guess.
They got these prices, too. All kinds of numbers with commas and dollar signs. Makes my head spin. Who in their right mind would spend that much money on a watch? You could buy a whole car for that much, or a little house even. But I guess if you got money to burn, you can buy whatever you want.
And then there’s the “heritage.” They sayin’ it’s been around a long time, this watch company. Well, my grandma’s old clock has been around a long time too, and it still ticks just fine. Heritage don’t make somethin’ work better, does it? It’s just a story they tell you to make you spend more money.
So, that’s what I think about this “audemars piguet info fran 20 216.” It’s a fancy watch for rich folks, with lots of shiny stuff and big prices. But at the end of the day, it’s just a watch. It tells time, like any other watch. And it ain’t gonna make you younger or richer or smarter. It’s just a thing you wear on your wrist.
