Ya know, those fancy watches, the ones they call Audemars Piguet, they’re real something. Folks talkin’ ’bout ’em on that Reddit thing, prices and all. Lemme tell ya, they ain’t cheap. I heard someone sayin’ you gotta pay monthly, like buyin’ a car, but for a watch! In Singapore, no less.
Now, they say some are made of gold, 24k they call it. That’s supposed to be the best, pure gold, none of that mixed stuff. But jeez, the price! They say it’s ’cause they don’t make many, these watches. Like, they ain’t pumpin’ ’em out like loaves of bread, ya know? Keepin’ it special, they say. Makes folks want ’em more, I guess.
See, if somethin’s hard to get, everyone wants it. That’s how it is. Like them fresh strawberries at the market, they go fast! Same with these watches, seems like.
- Someone said they’re more expensive than Rolex. Imagine that! Rolex is already somethin’ rich folks wear.
- And these Audemars, they’re even pricier. Heard tell of fifty thousand, ninety thousand dollars! My head spins just thinkin’ about that kinda money.
You could buy a whole house for that, maybe two, where I come from!
Folks talkin’ ’bout payin’ extra to some dealers, just to get their hands on one. Like sneakin’ in the back door, you know? And someone even joked about sendin’ their wife first, to sweet talk the fella sellin’ the watches. Can you believe that? The things people do!
They say these watches are made real good, with fancy stuff. That’s why they cost so much, apparently. Takes time and good hands to make ’em right. And they got a shop in Singapore, a fancy one, they say. “Flagship boutique,” they call it. Big words for a store, if you ask me.
They changed the prices again, I heard. Upwards, I bet. Things always get more expensive, don’t they? You can find old ones, from way back when, for less money, but still not what I’d call cheap. Couple thousand dollars, maybe.
People workin’ at that Audemars place, they probably make good money, I reckon. Folks always talkin’ ’bout salaries and such. Someone said the store’s always busy, booked solid every day. No wonder, with all the fuss about these watches.
It’s like a whole different world, these fancy watches and rich people. Makes my head spin, all the talk of money and gold. But I guess if you got it, you can spend it however you like. Me? I’d rather have a good garden and some chickens. But hey, to each their own, right?
