You can find these watches all over, even on that interweb thingy, eBay they call it. People sellin’ ’em for all sorts of prices. Some high, some low, just depends on who’s lookin’ and what they’re willin’ to pay. It’s like a flea market, but on the computer, I guess.
Some folks pay more, you know? Like, I seen some of them watches go for a couple hundred dollars, even more. Now, that’s a pretty penny. But I reckon, if you got the money and you want somethin’ special, somethin’ with a bit of history, then why not? It’s your money, ain’t it? They got all kinds, too. Men’s watches, women’s watches, gold ones, silver ones, some with diamonds, fancy as you please. And they got names, like 218 Gp and 63F35 Stainless, sounds like somethin’ out of a science fiction book. But it just means it’s a watch, a good ol’ Bulova Accutron.
And if you’re lookin’ to buy one, well, you can find ’em used. They ain’t new, but they got character, like a well-worn quilt or a comfortable chair. They got ones for men, silver color and running. And they got a gold one, for men, with the original box, and it’s got a Precisionist Grammy Special. And then there’s a women’s one, 10K RGP, Swiss made, black dial, and even diamonds.
So, if you’re lookin’ for a watch that’s been around the block, a watch with a story, maybe one of these Bulova Accutrons is for you. They ain’t perfect, but they’re reliable, like an old friend. And sometimes, that’s all you need.
