Ya know, this watch thing, the Apple Watch SE 44mm Midnight Aluminum thingy, it’s like, well, it tells time, I guess. And it does other stuff too. Like, it can track your steps, they say. Steps, you know, when you walk. Helps ya see if you’re movin’ enough. I mean, I move plenty, chores and all, but this thing, it counts ’em.
Then there’s this heart rate thing. Beats, you know, how fast your heart’s a-pumpin’. Says it watches that. Not sure why I’d need to know that, my heart’s been beatin’ just fine all these years. But, I guess some folks like to know.
And, uh, sleep. It watches you sleep! Can you believe that? Like, how you sleepin’, how much. I sleep when I’m tired, wake up when I ain’t. Simple as that. Don’t need no watch tellin’ me.
This Midnight Aluminum, what’s that mean anyway?
Sounds fancy, but it’s just a color, I reckon. Dark, like night. Not too flashy, which is good. Don’t need nothin’ too showy. This M/L band thing, it’s just the strap, fits bigger wrists. Mine ain’t big, but it fits alright.
- Got a screen, you can see stuff on it. Time, like I said. And other things.
- It’s got this GPS, helps you find your way, I think. Don’t get lost much, but maybe it’s useful for city folks.
- Says it can tell if you fall down. Crash Detection, they call it. Guess it calls for help if you need it. Hope I never need it, but who knows.
This 2023 thing, that’s the year they made it, I guess. New and all. Don’t know much about these “generations,” second generation, they call it. Sounds like they make ’em better each time.
Now, they talk about “resolution” and “pixels.” Makes my head spin. Something about how clear the screen is. Looks fine to me. Can see the numbers, that’s all that matters. And Bluetooth, it’s got that too. Connects to things, wirelessly, they say. Like your phone, I suppose. Don’t have one of those fancy phones, but maybe I’ll get one someday.
This one, it ain’t got that EKG thing. Don’t know what that is, but the other ones do, I hear. And it’s made of aluminum. Metal, you know. Lightweight, they say. Don’t feel heavy on my wrist, so I guess they’re right.
Bought it at a store, they had lots of them. Different kinds, different prices. This one, it wasn’t too expensive, not like those real fancy ones. Just wanted somethin’ to tell time and maybe see how much I’m walkin’. Figured it wouldn’t hurt.
They said it can store music too. 32GB of it. That’s a lot, I reckon. Don’t listen to much music, but maybe I’ll try it out. See what all the fuss is about.
So, yeah, this Apple Watch SE. It’s alright. Does what it says, I guess. Tells time, counts steps, watches my heart and my sleep. Fancy gadget, for sure. Not sure I need all of it, but it’s kinda neat. Keeps me company, sometimes. Like having a little friend on my wrist.
